Welcome to www.bismarck3d.pl - website dedicated to history and 3D graphics, and presenting the 3D models made by me, with a special emphasis on German battleship Bismarck.

What I present here are the results of my work, which emerge from a time-consuming process of recreating highly-detailed military and historical objects using 3D graphics.

I mainly deal with World War II subjects but I also occasionally do subjects dealing with other periods, including modern warfare.

3D models, 3D graphics

I've been researching various ships, vehicles and aircraft for over 10 years now, with many renders of my models being published in books and magazines by publishers from Europe, USA and Japan. The main focus of my interest are major ships of World War II navies (Kriegsmarine, Imperial Japanese Navy, United States Navy, Royal Navy and Polish Navy). I also deal with tanks and armored vehicles, as well as all sorts of military aircraft.

The first project I undertook was one of the most famous warships ever - German battleship Bismarck.

Since then I have made dozens of other 3D models, which I can present as 3D graphics.

Most of them in highest possible detail. Most significant accomplished ships include: German battleships Tirpitz (battleship Bismarck's sister ship), Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee, German heavy cruiser Lützow, German U-Boot Types VII, IX, XXI, Japanese aircraft carriers Akagi, Kaga and Shokaku, Japanese battleships Yamato, Musashi and Ise, Japanese submarine I-400, British battleship Dreadnought, British battlecruisers Queen Mary, Repulse and Hood, US battleships Iowa, Missouri, Massachusetts and North Carolina, US aircraft carrier Intrepid, Italian battleships Vittorio Veneto and Roma. I also made most of German and Soviet armored vehicles of World War II, including the famous Tiger, Panther, T-34 and IS-2 tanks. Aircraft 3D models that I have include several World War II constructions (mostly warship-based planes), as well as post-war jets (for instance F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, A-7 Corsair II, A-10 Warthog, Sukhoi Su-35, Rafale).

Check the gallery section for a full list of my works.

Battleship Bismarck

The first ship that drew my interest was German battleship Bismarck, the famous vessel sunk during her first sortie to the Atlantic in May 1941. Over the years I've been gathering source materials for this ship and working on the model. What I have now is a very detailed reconstruction of the Bismarck, and you can see the results of my efforts in the Bismarck section.

3D artwork, 3D anaglyph images, 3D meshes, 3D animations

Apart from color renderings of 3D models, I make scale plans for modellers and battle scene artwork prints that you can find in the shop section.

The 3D software also offers the possibility to create 3D anaglyph images to be looked at with the use of special glasses – some samples can be found in my gallery.

With the development of 3D printing technology, my models can also be used to make real-life miniature models with the help of 3D printers.

Finally, I also render animations  with the objects that I have created. Check my Youtube channel to see some of them.

The software I use for 3D modelling is 3D Studio MAX with V-Ray as a rendering engine.

Fresh illustrations and products will appear on the website regularly.

Enjoy!
